Hi everybody,
Last week, I entered our 8th episode in the 2010 Hometown Awards. Let's win another award!
I am currently working part time, but I am looking for a full time job in an office environment.
Ask me for my resume. I am willing to relocate.
Thank you,
Lauren

fundraiser was a success!
Hi everybody,
Barbara and I played 5 minute blitz chess against the public on March 20 and 21 in downtown Palo Alto next to Pizza My Heart! We really enjoyed ourselves and we hope the public enjoyed playing and watching!
The first day we raised $170. At the end of the day, we estimated that we played about 30 games and there was only one loss.
Kids to seniors stopped by, so it was fun to play chess with all age groups!
Yesterday, March 21, we raised over $260! It was really slow in the morning but in the afternoon, it really picked up! We won most games, lost and drew a couple too. Overall, we will give over $430 to UNICEF! We are happy that this money will help Haiti's children. We want the pain and the suffering to end. If you didn't know, Haiti is the poorest country in the northern hemisphere and most people live in poverty, which is really sad. In the long run, we hope they will recover from the earthquake and become a developed country.
And remember, anybody can make a positive difference in society (that includes you)!!
Thank you for your support and coming out!!

Chess-Haiti fundraiser and more!
This is Lauren here!
1) We will be putting on a chess-Haiti fundraiser where you will be able to play us for a good cause! We will play five minute chess games against the public. The suggestion donation to play Barbara or me is $5. Since this is fast (blitz) chess, it will also be very entertaining for people to watch.
All of the money will go to UNICEF to aid Haiti's children.
This fundraiser will be on Saturday and Sunday, March 20th and March 21. It will be from 10am to around 4-5pm both days.
The fundraiser will be on 202 University Ave, Palo Alto. It's next to Pizza My Heart.
We also plan to film some games and the overall event to make a video for their next episode.
2) Daniel Naroditsky!
We interviewed Daniel, who is so talented in chess, in our second episode. He is a Fide master now! He recently wrote a published book, "Mastering Positional Chess" and now you can buy it online! Click here to check it out.
His new personal website is: http://www.danielnaroditsky.com/
3) Episode #9. We are getting ready for this. We will have a lot of unique stuff.
